An Attitude of Gratitude for 2021

An attitude of Gratitude for 2021:  Luke 17:11-10

On His way to Jerusalem, Jesus was passing through a village that was located between Samaria and Galilee. In those days the Samaritans and Jews would have nothing to do with each other. However, there were ten lepers at a distance, who recognized Jesus. Leprosy was an incurable disease that was contagious and would eat away at a person’s flesh. Lepers were outcasts and had to stay away from their families and normal healthy people. These ten men called loudly, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” When Jesus saw them, He said to them, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” As they did, they were healed of their diseases.

One of the men, a Samaritan, when he saw he was healed, returned to Jesus, glorified God, and fell down at Jesus’s feet and thanked Him. Jesus asked, “where are the other nine who were healed?” Jesus remarked that only the foreigner, the Samaritan, returned to give glory to God. Jesus said to him “Arise go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

As you contemplate 2021, thank God for all the good things He has done for you and thank Him for His plans for you.

  • "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34

  •  "Don’t worry about anything, but in every situation, pray and make your requests known to God, with thanksgiving for the answer. And God’s peace which we can’t even understand will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Personal Development Tip Of The Week: “1 New Habit for 2021”

As 2021 approaches this Friday think about 1 New Habit you can set for yourself this New Year that could really make a difference in your life. Sometimes we overcomplicate the New Year by trying to set all these goals for ourselves only to fall short. Remember, that complexity is the enemy of execution.

If you think about it, habits, which are a regular practice of something, ultimately get us towards our goals. Also, consider asking yourself this question…

“What’s one habit I could practice regularly that would make this my best year ever?”

Remember, the quality of the questions we ask ourselves determines the quality of our life. Take some time to reflect on this as you go into the New Year.

Lastly, a new habit typically takes 30-70 days to form so once you decide on what this habit is going to be, make sure to work on it each and every day to the best of your ability.

Bonus Tip:  Practice your new habit around the same time each day. It helps make it easier when you write it on paper or on your phone and schedule it into your routine. Try it for yourself and see if it works for you too!

If you are serious and will do your best, let me know what your New Habit is in the comments below or email me at Dayne@litwithprayer.com
